Recipe for
Asparagus and Rice Salad


Ingredients
  • 250g Long Grain Rice
  • 2 large Onions
  • 30g Butter

  • 300g can Asparagus Tips
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Parsley
  • 2 tablespoons French Dressing
 

You will need
A sharp knife, a cutting board, wooden spoon, a frying pan, a rice strainer, a large saucepan and a serving dish

 

Directions

  • Boil the rice
  • Finely dice one of the onions
  • Strain the cooked rice
  • Mix the finely chopped onion in with the rice while still warm
  • Roughly chop the other onion

  • Heat butter in the pan
  • Sauté the chopped onion until soft but not brown
  • Drain the asparagus
  • Empty the cooled rice into the serving dish and add the sautéed onion, dressing, asparagus and parsley
  • Season to taste and toss lightly
