Cheesy Asparagus


Cheesy Asparagus


  • 2 X 425 g cans Asparagus Spears or Cuts
  • 60 g butter
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup fresh Bread crumbs
  • Salt and Pepper to taste


 You will need
A saucepan, a strainer and a small casserole dish


  • Melt the butter and pour half into the casserole dish
  • Drain the asparagus
  • Place half of the asparagus into the casserole dish
  • Cover with half of the grated cheeses
  • add salt and pepper to taste
  • Place the other half of the asparagus on top
  • Cover with the other half of the grated cheeses
  • Top with bread crumbs and spoon over the remaining butter
  • Bake in a preheated moderate oven (Approx. 180 c) for around 20 minutes until the cheese has melted and the bread crumbs are a rich golden colour
