Grandpa Pencil's Recipe

Fish Pie


Fish Pie


  • 2 cups Fresh White Bread crumbs
  • 1 large Onion
  • 3 medium Tomatoes
  • 250g Fish Fillets
  • 75g Butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Curry Powder
  • Salt and Pepper to taste


 You will need
A cutting board and sharp knife and a pie dish


  • Finely chop the onion
  • Skin and slice tomatoes
  • Sauté with the curry powder in a little butter
  • Cut fish fillets into bite sized bits
  • Place one third of the bread crumbs in the bottom of a greased pie dish
  • Cover with half of the onion and half of the tomato and one third of the bread crumbs
  • Place the fish bits on top of these layers
  • Cover with the rest of the onion, tomato
  • Top with the rest of the bread crumbs
  • Dot with the balance of the butter
  • Bake in a moderate oven for 40 to 45 minutes
