Meringue


 


Meringue

Ingredients

  • 6 Egg Whites
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • Whipped Cream

 

 You will need
A mixing bowl, an egg beater, a teaspoon, a tablespoon, some greaseproof paper and an oven tray
 

Directions

  • Set the oven to around 110c to preheat
  • Separate the egg yokes from the whites
  • Put egg whites into a bowl and beat very fast until the mixture looks frothy
  • Add sugar and vanilla, a spoon at a time, while continuing to mix
  • Beat the mixture until it looks shiny and stands up in stiff peaks
  • Place greaseproof paper on your baking tray and spoon on small dobs of mixture trying to make each one attractive
  • Pop into preheated oven for about an hour to an hour and a half
  • Allow to cool and eat plain or cut and fill with whipped cream. If you are feeling really creative you can cut a little mouth and give it eyes to make beaut frogs
