Russian Caramels


 


Russian Caramels

Ingredients

  • 200 g Butter
  • 1 tightly packed cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 can Condensed Milk
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Golden Syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

 

 You will need
A saucepan, a wooden spoon, a Swiss roll tin and heavy aluminium foil
 

Directions

  • Place butter, brown sugar, condensed milk and golden syrup into saucepan and stir over a low heat until mixture thickens and leaves the side of the saucepan
  • Remove from heat and add the vanilla
  • Line Swiss roll tin with buttered foil
  • Spread the mixture into the tin
  • Before the mixture cools and sets mark it out into squares
