Savoury Batter
For fish, meat or savoury dishes

Ingredients

  • 200g Plain Flour
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 Egg Yoke
  • 125 ml Milk

 

 You will need
A sifter, a mixing bowl, a wooden spoon and a beater
 

Directions

  • Sift flour and salt into a mixing bowl
  • Make a well in the centre of the flour
  • Pour in egg yoke
  • Stir lightly
  • Add milk slowly while stirring
  • Beat well to smooth and lighten
  • Stand for 30 minutes prior to use
